{Photos} First EVER human rights film festival in Singapore

Singaporeans For Democracy (SFD) hosted the very first human rights film festival in Singapore on 14th Nov 2010 at Substation. Here are photos from the event taken from SFD’s photo album at its facebook group.

Usual suspects! From left to right: SFD's Jarrod, Seelan, Martyn, Rachel, Kai Xiong (not in pic but shooting the pics!) with invaluable help from Shafiie!

Alan Shadrake, author of Once A Jolly Hangman: Singapore Justice in the Dock, attended the screening. On 16th Nov, he was sentenced to 6 weeks in jail + S$20,000 fine (2 weeks jail if fine is not paid) + S$55,000 legal costs to Attorney-General's Chambers for his exposé on the Singapore Government's use of the death penalty. Watching the films. Looks like the screening of.....

....Paranormal Activity!!
